The Freemason's Foundation Coordinator for the Lodge of St John, RWBro. George Butler, presented the co-winner of the Freemason's Scholarship for 2014, to Jade Filsell, at the Eastern Fleurieu R-12 school recently.

 

The Scholarship is provided for two year eleven students entering Year 12, at this School in the following year.

During 2014 the Freemason's Foundation were able, mainly through the labours of their members at the Strathalbyn Markets, to increase the value of the Award to $750.

 

The Scholarship is awarded annually, to assist young peolple to either continue in education or obtain a further qualification, which they may not otherwise have been able to achieve.

 

The co-winner of the 2014 Scholarship, Alex Warman received his monetary award at a presentation at the Fremason's Lodge in January.

 

Jade expressed her appreciation to members of the Lodge and will keep the members advised of her progress through 2015.
